On a wagon pulled by camels with no names, the group travels north…
The group made its way out of the city and joined up with a caravan master called Hamedh Sil-Kavari, a gruff but fair Darijaani, mid-50s, with sharp desert-honed instincts and a limp from a scorpion beast attack. He wears a red scarf over one shoulder that signifies his protection contract with a minor Darijaani house. Always watching. Talks to his camel more than people. His banner is white and green, bisected vertically, with a green scorpion rampant on the white side. The caravan is made of up 17 large wagons, pulled by 4 camels each.
Other notable people traveling in this caravan:
- Fariyah Zinn (F,Saurian): An exuberant storyteller and musician from Darijaan. Charms everyone.
- Telmun “The Ox” (M,Northman): Silent, burly Northman sells “reclaimed relics.”
- Sevira Daskar (F,Rakashan): Herbalist with a small wagon of “medicinal” plants.
- Brother Ilun of the Loom (M,Human): Old man of unknown origin wearing patchwork robes, claims to be a Brisayan monk. Talks in riddles. Might actually be a Fateweaver… or mad.
- Yazir & Kalbin (M,Human): Twin Darijaani camel handlers, very competent but always bickering.
RECAPS:
As I’ve done in the past, I will give an extra benny to anyone who chooses to leave an in-character recap here in the comments and we will begin the next game with these recaps to kickstart everyone’s recollection of previous events.
AREA MAP:
Here’s a small map of the area where the party is currently operating:

Kragg
It SO HOT! Great Spirit take Kragg and new friends on long desert journey after we leave city. Kragg ride with friends and tell friends all Kragg’s stories. Sometimes have to tell stories twice as friends lose focus like small child. Kragg hope friends learn from stories like Kragg does. One night bad people come. Say they serve Solis, but Solis not like they say he is. They target boy who write stories. Kragg and friends stop bad people with words…best way. Boy write down Kragg’s stories so Kragg can share with friends even when Kragg not talking. Hope get to add wisdom to book with new stories.

Journal Entry No. 02:
I have decided to start keeping a journal. It will help me order my thoughts, keep track of the days events and, more importantly, I know that future generations will benefit from reading directly from the Bearer of the Shard, Chosen of Solus. This will encapsulate my thoughts, feelings and tribulations on my journey as the Prophesied one.
It should be noted that I have never been a stringent follower of Solus. We are all aware of the Gods and their influence on the world but I have always remained on the outside preferring my studies and my alchemical work. I normally would have stayed ambivalent in the events of the Gods, but Solus must have seen something in me thus I have become his Chosen. I shall continue on this path and carry this burden. I must look into what is going on with the shards and the event we all witnessed prior to leaving Zarashan. This event was foretold, there must be written copies of this prophecy.
My companions and I have started our journey North, in search of more shards. Having snuck out of the city, we joined a caravan. Those we are traveling with seem to amenable group and all around a good bunch. So-Crates and I were fortunate to meet another Alchemist in the form of Sevira. She is providing medicines for the caravan and looks to be a trader. However, I must question her judgement, when I made attempts to… become friendly with her, she chose to sleep with So-Crates. She must be playing hard to get.
After many days of travel we have arrived at a way station. We were unfortunate enough to meet some Zealots of Solus who began to bully a child, stating he is carrying blasphemic items against Solus. Luckily, we stepped in and with the aid of my companions and the crowd force them from the camp. I cannot stand bullies!
The boy did have an interesting scroll, he stated that had been a family heirloom. When opened caused a great wave of energy to be released in a concentrated area. This is an interesting magic, I’m just glad that boy didn’t open without our knowledge and aid, otherwise who knows the damage it could have caused.
It is late, I have made some useful alchemical goods and must prepare for the journey to continue in the morn.

After putting on a disguise and sneaking out of the city, I was a bit worried about traveling in the caravan at my age especially with the cold desert nights in Sevira’s caravan. Thankfully Koios offered to drive so Sevira and I were able to rest comfortably and kept each other warm inside the caravan.
Today was the most exciting traveling day yet! We had stopped at an oasis for the night, had quite a nice little soiree going when some cultists showed up and tried to steal a family heirloom from a scrivener. Of course that will not stand… I want to study this magical item myself! Good thing Xander thought the same thing and together we dispelled the illusion and make the cult leader look like a fool. The scrivener make copies for both of us, look like an even more exciting night for me as I study this historical document. What a grand trip!

For people lacking in magical aptitude, our protectors’ capacity to adequately conceal and disguise us as we escaped the city was quite admirable. I wish I could find a similar admiration for our compatriots in the caravan. But how can one admire people who have no books? I understand a lack of magical texts, but no books at all?! Tragic. What’s more is to be bestet by mindless zealots. I found myself longing for the sea route we decided against. Buy then a ray of light in the form of a powerful scoll of ancient magic in a forgotten tongue. Just the kind of impetus I required to reengage my linguistic training and perhaps devise a methodology for quickly translating unknown dialects.

I made a new friend! Her name is Honeybee. She is a camel.
